  This thread actually made me physically sick. Not because of you guys, but because I'm trying to stomach the idea that THESE are the notions from the GB that my parents accept, support and put their trust, loyalty and finances in. The talk outlines provided for the Regular Pioneer meeting is the stuff my already-ignorant mother will be lapping up. I'm about to cry in anger and frustration. *wildly starts punching molecules*

  Need help with a reference dealing with the Generations and SPLAINE

  when originally explaining the "new generations" splaine used the example of joseph and his brothers.. he backed up the time difference between the original anointed, and the new ones by using what he said was a big age difference between the youngest "joseph" and his oldest brothers.. then more recently in a jw broadcast - he said that there was not a big age difference between joseph and his oldest brother.. can any one help me find both those, please?.

  hey guys,.

  i've been trying hard to locate a comment that was posted no longer than a few weeks ago (if that) by a poster providing a challenge for witnesses to find one scripture that states that we are still saved/have hope if we are outside of this "new covenant" that wt claims is for the 144,000 only.

  the thread was to do with ways we can wake up a loved one and this particular poster (i can't remember who) gave a step-by-step guide to helping witnesses waking up using their own bible and doctrine.

  You are such a gem, @days of future passed. I wish I could buy you a drink right now just to thank you for your efforts. This is the post you found, yeah?:

  'How can the following be proved to be scriptural?

  What possible evidence supports these teachings and policies?

  1. Jesus surveyed all christian denominations and chose the "anointed" under Judge Rutherford for his approved church in the year 1919.

  2. Charles Russell predicted 1914 was date for the return of Christ rather than Armageddon.

  3. There are two classes of saved christians and the majority will not have a heavenly hope.

  4. The bible is only written for the anointed and not the majority of christians who must, instead, turn to the Governing Body.

  5. Jesus is NOT the mediator between Jehovah and the great crowd of worshippers but the Governing Body itself is.

  6. Declaring apostasy when any member diaagrees with the men of the GB or the Elders who parrot their policies.

  7. Branch committees and not local congregations decide who is a child molestor and who will be declared a predator. Notifying the police is not automatic procedure.

  8. Declaring it a disfellowship offense for mothers to speak a greeting to DF'd children. Family must shun ex-members even if they aren't speaking out against the religion.

  Where is your verification these Watchtower policies aren't just the opinions, prejudices and whims of ordinary human despots pretending to be the only true "channel" of the living God?'

  Unfortunately, it's not the right one :(. The poster's challenge was so recent and it was a comment (not a thread started) pertaining specifically to the New Covenant and helping Witnesses see that unless they are a part of this group, they are without hope/salvation.

  Come on guys... someone has to remember! I have this fantasy deep down that my father - a WT slave for decades who IS cerebral enough to value sincere doctrine - will take on this challenge and just MAYBE start having second thoughts about the WTBTS.

  Paging @jp1692... He's got the sharpest memory on this forum. Please help? The poster's comment was formatted in step-by-step numbers. He was saying "first get them to read this scripture. Then flip over to this scripture," et cetera.

  @stuckinarut2 I didn't comment on that thread - merely lurked and thought how interesting that particular comment was.

  @Simon No luck trying that method - but thank you for the suggestion. I'm slowly starting to think I've dreamed up that particular comment I'm searching for.

  @St George of England I concur. I've done a search through @Chook's comments to see if I could locate his response to the original comment I'm searching for. Nothing. Tried looking up a few other noteworthy poster's comment history (@Smiddy, @Steve2, etc). It's like this particular thread vanished into thin air.

The thread was to do with ways we can wake up a loved one and this particular poster (I can't remember who) gave a step-by-step guide to helping Witnesses waking up using their own Bible and doctrine. I'm dying to find this comment, so if anyone remembers and could provide me with the link, that would be much appreciated. All I remember is @Chook saying something like, "unfortunately, current JWs aren't really that cluey about doctrinal matters and usually their only hope of waking up will be if they experience some sort of personal injustice, wrong-doing in the organization," or something in that vain. Many others chimed in with a similar sentiment.

  Advice on family waking up to TTATT

  if you've been following my posts here, i am physically in and mentally out.

  it's so hard because i wish that my family could wake up just as easily as i did.

  the other day i had a conversation with a relative regarding whether they have come to terms with their own mortality and they replied that they try not to think about it too much but also said that it's possible that armageddon would even happen long after they are gone, which i thought was a very interesting thought.. maybe it's just me, but i feel like what made me wake up easily was that i've always had little doubts here and there but this was stuff like me being unable to grasp the concept of how one could be anointed and how would you know if you were.
